Austin is the self-proclaimed “Live Music Capital of the World” and our crawl proves that the hype is more than justified. With over 270 venues spread around the city, the options are mind-boggling. We work with all the best and most iconic venues to come up with a schedule for each crawl that shows you different areas of town, highlights a variety of venues, and gives you a wide array of music on each tour. We focus mostly on blues, rock, country, zydeco, rockabilly, singer-songwriter and jazz (and sorry, no rap or heavy metal). In between venues, you’ll learn a bit about how the music scene got started and who they key players are. This detour simply rocks!

Our guide, Ike, made this evening perfect! First, his ability to learn things about his "guests" was astounding--not just names but also something special about each one of us so that he spoke with us as he would old friends. He was also very careful to make certain that every guest was comfortable at each venue; (there were two in our group who were more shy and Ike made sure that they felt included.) Ike's knowledge of the music business and scene in Austin was personal and comprehensive. He also volunteered other information about the community and why Austin is unusual as a large city. Finally, the choice of three distinct venues gave a very strong overview of Austin's musical variety. Ending the evening at the Skylark was brilliant! Hats off to Ike, to this crawl, and to Austin. We shall return.
Great variety .
Our tour guide Bobby Struzick was the best we ever had. We have done tours in all the cities we have visited.
What a great way to learn about the music scene in Austin! Sunny was a great guide, very knowledgeable and fun! Saw 3 different venues and really got a taste of Texas. The last place he took us had a great swing band, and everyone was 2 stepping! A couple of folks opted to stay and keep the dancing going!
That was a great tour with some really good music I would have not been able to find by myself! great guide! I really recommend
Steve was wonderful and the music was great!! Great choices and Steve was very knowledgeable about the Austin music scene!!! Would definitively recommend....
Steve was a wonderful host. Just wish we could have spent more time at the locations. Maybe only 2 stops for a longer time perhaps?
Sonny was a wonderful tour guide. We not only got a lot of Austin music history we also learned some general Austin history as well. The one disappointment was at our 2nd venue. It happened to be the musicians birthday and all we got to hear was other artists performing his music. We would book a tour with you again and request Sonny as our guide. Thanks, Andrea Athanas
Steve was our host. We had a small group of 5 which was just perfect for the music crawl. It was great going to venues that I normally wouldn't have known about. The first place was jazz and featured a young female singer. The second was a real cowboy place with a super band and lots of people dancing country style. It was so fun to watch them. The third place was a blues club that was really neat. I was apprehensive about doing this tour but was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was. I recommend this tour if you visit Austin.
The guide Ike was the best, went to some cool places for music want to do it again in November hopefully have the same great experience I love come as you are places with a welcoming envirement Thanks IKE !!!
We went to venues we would never have found on our own. The music was great and our tour guide Ike was both knowledgable and a lot of fun!
This tour is a great way to start your visit to Austin if you are a music fan. It was a fun time and also I can now plan my week ahead thanks to insights from Sunny - Many thanks for a superb evening
